Lucas, Jane Ann (Johns) 
MIDDLETON/DODGEVILLE - Jane Ann (Johns) Lucas, age 89, of Middleton, formerly of Dodgeville, died on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at Middleton Village, following a brief illness. The former Jane Ann Johns was born on April 8, 1912, in Spring Green, to William and Claria (Jorgeson) Johns. Following graduation from Platteville Teachers College, Jane Ann taught third grade in Dodgeville schools for 43 years. She married William L. Lucas on July 31, 1954, and they were Dodgeville residents their entire married life. William preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 1995, and Jane Ann moved to Middleton in 1996. She was a member of Dodgeville United Methodist Church. Jane Ann is survived by several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Tom (Ellen) Mahoney of Sauk City; and two special nieces, Joyce Simms of Middleton, and Patricia (Wayne) Weinkoetz of Santa Anna, Calif. She was also preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and three brothers. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2002, at EAST SIDE CEMETERY, Dodgeville, with Pastor Jean Bartlett officiating. Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday at LULLOFF-PETERSON-HOUCK FUNERAL HOME, Dodgeville.
