Dorothy A. Wilson, 81, Dodgeville, died Wednesday, November 10, 1993 following a brief illness. She was born October 11, 1912 in Dodgeville to E.J. and Hannah (Rowe) Wilson. She was a graduate of the University of Platteville. Dorothy was a teacher in the Dodgeville area for 47 years, until retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Dodgeville United Methodist Church, the Governor Dodge Rebekah Lodge #74 and the Iowa County Area Retired Educators Association.
Survivors include two sisters, Blanche (Harland) James and Jeanette Wilson, both of Dodgeville; two brothers, James (Ivy) Wilson, Dodgeville and John (Gerry) Wilson, Richland Center; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, E.J. Wilson in July of 1936; and her mother, Hannah Wilson on May 15, 1966.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 13 in the Dodgeville United Methodist Church. Rev. Verlyn Harr officiated with burial in East Side Cemetery. A visitation was held at the Lulloff-Peterson Funeral Home, Dodgeville, from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 12 where a Rebekah service was held at 7 p.m. Friends also called at the church Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of services.
