Edgerton- Linda J. Lervik, age 71, died on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital.  She was born in Oregon on September 6, 1939, the daughter of Walter and Marie (Richner) Hoffman.  Linda graduated from UW-Platteville with a Bachelors degree in Biology.  On June 1, 1966, she married Dale Lervik in Oregon.  Linda enjoyed teaching, cross word puzzles, bird watching and mowing the yard.  She taught at the Utica Christian School for 14 years.  Linda is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dale; two sons, Leif and Lars; two sisters, Ruby Hendrickson and Esther (Bob) Wing; two sisters-in-law, Marge Hoffman Hyatt and Carol Hoffman; and many relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Wally and Butch.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Utica Baptist Church, 2095 County Trunk W, with Rev. Ron Kutz officiating.  Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon immediately following the services.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton and from 1:00 PM until the time of services on Sunday.  Burial will be held in Albion Prairie Cemetery on Monday.  Memorials may be made to the Utica Christian School.  A special thank you to the Dane County Sherriff Dept., the EMS of both Cambridge and Madison, and to the staff of St. Mary's Hospital.

During the 1960's, Linda Hoffman, although she graduated with a degree in Biology from the UW Platteville, she was the girls physical education coach.
