John V. Berryman, 77 of Rockford, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014. Born November 27, 1937, in Dodgeville, WI; son of Carlton and Jane (Perkins) Berryman. John married Lynne Connelly on August 13, 1983 in their Rockford home. John was a Wisconsin football fan, through and through. When he wasn't watching Badger football, he was rooting for his beloved Packers. John coached Junior Tackle football in Rockford for many years. He was also well known for his taste for chocolates; you did not have to go far to find chocolate when John was around. John enjoyed many things in life, especially his golden retrievers, Molly and Lady. 
John is survived by his loving wife, Lynne Connelly; Sharon Hilden, mother of his children, Steve (Beverly) Berryman and Kristin (Steve) Gaetjens; step-daughters, Kim (Will) Flower and Kelly Enriquez; grandchildren, Scott and Jeffrey Gaetjens, Bryce and Blake Berryman, Kelsey Enriquez, Matt Flower and Kate (Casey) Flower, Monica Enriquez and Michelle (Enrique) Torres; great grandchildren, Nicholas and Ricardo; sisters, Mary Jane (George) Benage and Joyce (Mark) Messer; brother, Ben (Mary) Berryman, numerous nephews and a niece. 
John is predeceased by his parents; his brother Paul, and his son, Craig. 
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary or Westminster Presbyterian Church. Memorial service will be Tuesday, December 16, 2014, 11 a.m., at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2821 N. Bell School Rd., Rockford, IL, 61107, with Rev. Dr. Bill Ward officiating, with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service. Funeral arrangements are being cared for by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 1860 S.
